Describe how you use each room
A living room used in the afternoon, a bedroom occupied at night and a home office with equipment running have different requirements. Note your usual hours and whether doors remain open or closed. This helps the installer assess a solution around your routine, without assuming that every room needs the same capacity.
Also explain whether you want summer cooling or heating during part of the year. For a seasonal home, say how long it normally stands empty and how you would like to prepare it before arriving.
Choose a format that suits the property
A wall-mounted split places an indoor unit in one room. A ducted system distributes air from an indoor unit through supply and return routes. A multisplit connects several compatible indoor units to one outdoor unit. No format wins in every home: available space, installation routes and the independence you want all affect the choice.
Mention existing suspended ceilings or preinstalled services, and whether you are renovating. Planned ceiling work may make an option practical that would be more disruptive in a finished property.
Describe more than the floor area
Send a simple plan with approximate dimensions, window orientation and the rooms that receive the most sun. Include whether the property is on the top floor, the type of windows and any shutters or awnings. Room photographs help with possible positions, but they cannot replace these details.
Do not treat an advertised floor-area recommendation as a sizing calculation for the whole home. Ask the proposal to explain which information was used to select the required capacity.
Compare the complete system and installation
The indoor model reference should be accompanied by its matching outdoor unit. Check which controller is included and which features require optional accessories. The energy label helps compare identified equipment; its reference consumption does not predict your household bill.
Red Málaga Clima presents equipment with basic installation. Connection routes, access, drainage and any adaptations are agreed before acceptance. Compare proposals with the same scope so that differences in price are meaningful.
Prepare a useful first enquiry
You can provide the essential information without becoming an air conditioning specialist. Tell us your location, the rooms involved, how they are used and what is already installed. Keep the model references that interest you, while allowing their suitability to be checked against the property.
- A plan or sketch with approximate room dimensions.
- Photographs of possible indoor and outdoor positions, taken from a safe location.
- Usage preferences, an indicative budget and any planned renovation.

Specifications depend on the reference and installed combination. Check your equipment datasheet and manual; this guide does not replace an installation assessment.
